The Role
Maritime is responsible for delivering a complex project across the CUK fleet and in this role you will deliver and support projects specifically with a fuel and energy efficiency focus.
As a Project Manager within the Maritime function, this role’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the fuel and energy efficiency projects deliver benefit to time and budget for CUK. Working across ship and shore, you will apply best practice and manage projects end to end within CUK Project governance and assurance frameworks. You will define and plan the business scope of the project and resources required to develop and apply them effectively.
You will also be required to identify, track and report on benefits achieved by the project and capture lessons learned from the project by phase.
We are seeking a diverse range of skills and experience, and welcome applications from candidates who are looking to further develop their career in project management and/or project delivery. Experience in the maritime/cruise fields is desirable but not essential.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have a passion for project management and successfully delivering projects.
You will also have previous experience of project management in oil and gas/energy industry and be fully familiar with industry standard PM techniques and their application in a real project environment along with experience of developing and tracking project plans. You will need to possess effective communications skills and the expertise to shape, define and manage a comprehensive project plan. You will be courageous and decisive, effectively prioritise and have the ability to see the action through to delivery.
Working collaboratively across departments to achieve success, you will require strong influencing and relationship skills, professional organisational ability and competent and effective communication styles.
In addition the following qualifications (or equivalent) are essential:
- A relevant Degree or equivalent
- Experience in Oil and Gas/Energy industry
- PMBOK
- Lean Six Sigma or equivalent experience
