Role:Project Management Officer

Rate of Pay:£30.54 per hour (using an Umbrella Company)

Length of Contract:Until 31/03/2024 - Likely to be extended

Location:Broughton, Flintshire – onsite working requirement

Working Pattern:Standard 35 hours per week (working 4.5 days between the hours of 7am – 7pm, hours agreed at business discretion)

Description of the Job:

An exciting opportunity exists to join our professional Plant Production Support Team (OWOP) in the role of Project Management Officer supporting the Strategy & Business Development for Broughton site.

The successful candidate will report directly to, and work closely with the Head of Strategy and Business Development. The role will be responsible for supporting and driving the delivery of best practice Project Management governance, methods, tools and analysis in support of shaping and integrating plant strategy, future projects and business development opportunities for the Broughton site.

The role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to support the governance and development of Broughton topics such as Environmental Sustainability, O Ambition, Risk & Opportunities, Make V Buy and Future Site Projects, amongst others.

Tasks & Accountabilities:

As the successful candidate, your main activities will include:

● Working with the HO Strategy & Business Development in project organisation on a day to day basis.

● Ensuring projects are supported with strong Project Management Skills and that appropriate Project Management structure, governance and practices are applied. The scope of involvement will span across the Broughton Site.

● Shaping methods and tools in accordance with Project Management standards to the needs of the project / activity.

● Supporting efficient communication and stakeholder management, ensuring that activities are aligned with interdependent projects and operations.

● Establishing E2E project plans and supporting the control of all changes versus the initial baseline. Identifying associated milestones and project critical paths with the project owners/HO Strategy & Business Development.

● Tracking performance versus plan throughout the project lifecycle. Analysing project information to anticipate deviations from target and proposing preventive / corrective actions to support project level decision making.

● Providing clear and regular reporting throughout all project phases.

● Support the Site Risk & Opportunity Management process in line with the existing plan. Support the collation and completion of Risk reporting, including the associated R&O register, and monthly/quarterly reviews at CDT, Site and O level.

● Jointly working with Finance to compare cost incurred and time spent for progress achieved against current planning. Supporting the collation and reporting of CapEx phased drawdown performance.

● Preparing and publishing of reports as required.

● Defining and delivering relevant KPls & dashboards for effective performance management.

● Contributing to all team reviews as required.

● Preparing and supporting project management reviews.

This role may involve occasional travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

● Negotiation level of English

Desirable (but not essential):

● Demonstrated experience in Project Management.

● Experience of working with suppliers.

● Knowledge and experience in Agile PM methodologies

● Holder of Airbus PM Certification – Bronze level / PMP® certification.

● Educated to Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business administration or other.
