Job title:Project Engineer (Construction)Location: Glascoed, near Newport - Monmouthshire. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Competitive
Duration: 12 months fixed-term.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering and supporting a new boiler house project and various other smaller projects from proposal through to completion.
- Managing the time, costs, quality, scope, specifications, risks, opportunities, safety and resources for specific work packages, whilst applying knowledge of various contract forms (e.g. JCT, NEC3).
- Monitoring, reporting, and forecasting on project performance.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and Engineering Services.
- Ensuring design codes and other standards and regulations, such as CDM are adhered to.
- HNC/ BTEC-level qualification or comparable experience in construction/engineering/manufacturing sector, with experience in construction essential.
- Experience in project coordination / management essential
- A good understanding of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines.

The Capital Investment Team
As a Project Engineer (Construction) you will be working within the Capital Investment team, to help manage all Infrastructure investment projects on the Glascoed site. This role would suit an individual with a Project Management background in Construction/Engineering.
