We create world-class exhibitions and live events for clients all over the world. We typically deliver 500+ events per year across 6 continents.

Most of our team are based in Bristol and North Devon. We also have offices in London, Singapore and San Francisco.

We work with a range of B2B clients across most industry sectors, from leading brands through to Government departments, and our events include anything and everything, from conferences and exhibitions, through to product launches, brand activations and roadshows.

What will I be doing?

  • Manage and develop a team of Project Managers across different locations.
  • Ensure that the PM team are adhering to our ISO process plans.
  • Responsible for monthly financial forecast, ensuring the Project Management team keeps the budgets up to date.
  • Lead project meetings and communications with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project cycle (including senior management)
  • Working to deadlines is fundamental to the success of all projects. As a Project Director, you will be expected to create and follow internal critical paths, client deadlines, and supplier deadlines. You will be expected to manage projects of all sizes within tightly managed deadlines. Managing deadlines across the entire team will also be an important part of your day-to-day activities
  • Client management and relationship building, including understanding client business objectives and competitive scenarios, challenging the brief and adding value in discussions and presentations.
  • As a Project Director, you will have had experience in mentoring, guiding, and managing other members of a team. You will have an understanding of the team capacities and when there are issues with the ability to deliver projects
  • You will have experience in resource planning including internal, multi-discipline teams with the addition of managing freelancers. This will involve ensuring time is budgeted correctly, and that freelance are onboarded correctly, and their time managed
  • As a Project Director, you will need to be comfortable in negotiation with suppliers and clients. Negotiation with suppliers can be on price, services, scope, timings, etc.
  • You will be able to resource a team based on roles required, budget accordingly, and track teams’ progress. This may include managing freelancers, negotiating their agreements, and raising their POs.

What will I need?

  • Demonstrable experience working within exhibitions, within a senior leadership role.
  • Proven ability to plan, manage and deliver high quality, complex Events’ projects to agreed timescales and budgets
  • Proven experience of managing a team.
  • Ability to think and plan strategically with wider business objectives in mind.
  • Ability to Travel in the UK and abroad regularly
  • Track record of delivering successful projects on time, working calmly under pressure
  • Proven track record of client and employer confidentiality
  • Confident and adaptable communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience in managing change.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing and allocating resource.
  • Experience in leading teams remotely. Ensure that key deadlines are being met, highlight risk areas, and problem-solve to keep projects on track.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others
