The Opportunity


Our exciting Hinkley Point C (HPC) project, when completed, will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years which, along with renewables, will support Britain’s Net Zero aim by 2050. Our Joint Design Office (JDO) team has been established, on site at HPC, to provide a fast response to engineering queries and problems so the construction works continue with minimal delay.


As Project Controls Lead, you’ll be part of the JDO team responsible for the development and production of regular performance reporting against project budget, schedule and KPI’s.

The Role


As part of an integrated Project Controls team you’ll be providing project controls services to the JDO team producing the necessary data for internal governance and performance as well as ensuring data management and document control.


Specifically, you’ll be accountable for:


  • Budget management - including estimating, forecasting and reporting
  • Assessing additional work required against budget
  • Manipulating data from engineering tools to form KPI’s
  • Analysing activity levels for future workload/workforce planning
  • Coordinating and facilitating the risk management process
  • Defining and developing scheduling activities

The Skills


To be successful in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate:


  • Previous experience of project controls management
  • A degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of electronic document management systems and other electronic tools and platforms and proven ability to learn new electronic tools and systems.
  • Excel skills and knowledge of power BI
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills


Desirable:


  • Experience of working in a fast pace engineering project environment
  • French speaker
