Key Functions:

  • To bring best practices of projects, program and portfolio management by driving a transparent governance process for executing EcoFlora R&D projects in alignment with commercial strategy and EcoFlora strategic business plan. This role will promote collaboration within and across functions to ensure a seamless end to end project delivery.
  • Coordinate the advancement of projects and leads through a Stage & Gate governance process ensuring appropriate handoff through phases up to product commercialization.
  • Ensure transparent communication to Gowan leadership and key stakeholders of project status, progress and health including risks & issues, budgets, and accomplishments, by quarterly release of projects dashboards.
  • In consultation with product and country managers, this role will develop business cases for pre-commercial regional development of products ensuring that the BCs, are reliable and that the assumptions, timelines, cost/benefits are well vetted.
  • Leveraging your technical background, this role will manage existing collaborative “Go Deep” relationships and create new ones which eventually will serve as potential sources of new IP for Gowan Company.
  • The role will also coordinate the EcoFlora business processes including negotiation of contracts proposed by licensing manager. Such processes will also include but not limited to project charters and templates development, projects prioritization, sequencing of multiple projects, project review meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • 5+ years of professional experiencein project/ program/ portfolio management
  • 10 years’ work experience overall including a technical role in agrochemical or relevant industry and cross cultural/International experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline, ideally life science or chemistry
  • MSc., Ph.D, PMP, MBA (or equivalent) preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in CP Product Development
  • Ability to analyze complex projects (assumptions, risk, cost/benefit, quantitative and strategic fit)
  • Commercial experience is beneficial
  • PMP (project management professional) certification a plus or equivalent experience
