Many patients who have had Covid -19 have been left with a range of ongoing physical health complications, affecting people of all ages and backgrounds. Around 33% of people infected also have psychological or neuropsychological concerns associated with their health. Patients may be depressed or anxious, and some may have traumatic symptoms of cognitive difficulties following their treatment.

This team will sit across the trust footprint, providing consultation to post covid 19 rehabilitation MDTs, including staff from primary, community and acute care. The team will offer a pathway of care for patients with more complex needs post covid 19, through direct patient care care (psychological therapy and mental health assessment/medication management) as well as indirectly by offering supervision and specialist advice to other mental health teams including IAPT services.
