Job Outline

We have an excellent opportunity for a professional technical programme manager to further their career within an international technology-oriented company. The Programme Manager will be managing challenging and complex product development projects covering the full product development lifecycle from concept through to manufacture. The role would ideally suit a Programme Manager who has worked within a Defence and Aerospace environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Management of highly technical programmes involving multi discipline teams (Optical, mechanical, electronics, test, production engineering etc.)
  • Supporting the Business Winning Process during Bid Management
  • Leading the team of talented engineers to deliver NPI programmes through the complete development lifecycle, from requirements definition through to Production Readiness
  • Developing the Programme Management capabilities within the existing team
  • Ensuring stakeholders are informed of progress and ensure risks and issues are identified, managed, and mitigated
Key Job Requirements
  • A degree in an Engineering or Science discipline
  • Extensive Experience as a Programme manager covering the full product development lifecycle of complex technology products
  • Programme Management qualification (PRINCE2 or APM)
  • Experience of managing product transfer into manufacture (NPI)
  • Experienced in managing multi-disciplinary projects

Because the programme manager has a pivotal role at the centre of product development, the role is varied and challenging and international travel is required, depending on the specific programme needs.
