Based in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, we are currently recruiting for a Programme Manager on a full time permanent basis. This role has responsibility to lead, implement and maintain AHDB’s programme and project portfolio to support the strategic direction of AHDB.

We are looking for someone who has extensive leadership experience in programme and project management, delivering complex business and IT projects. This role would suit someone who holds a degree or relevant qualification in programme management.

This role offers hybrid working - a mix of working at our Head Quarters in Stoneleigh and remotely from home.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of Agile ways of working
  • Apply and maintain programme initiatives that align to AHDB’s vision and strategy
  • Operate the AHDB programme and portfolio governance mechanisms
  • Drive AHDB’s standards, quality and performance, ensuring effective delivery focus
  • Oversee project, scrum and portfolio teams, ensuring programme goals are reached
  • Drive workforce management processes, aligned to our roadmaps and strategic deliverables
  • Develop and manage budget for projects
  • Work with project managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within AHDB

Essential Criteria

  • Proficient computer skills, skilled in programme/project management software
  • Knowledgeable in programme management methodology and techniques
  • Experience with compiling and adhering to robust budgets
  • Experience working with output driven, rather than budget driven organisations
  • Good understanding of risk management and effectively managing and tracking the mitigation of risks
