The Faculty of Health Well-Being and Society supports many students from within the local area and offers provision from Further Education through to Higher Education. The Faculty has developed its provision and recruits well for the local area and is developing strong links with the community and that of its employers.

The School of HE Education and Social Science currently sits in the above Faculty and is now looking for a Programme Leader to lead on the FdA Children, Young People and Families programme within the University Centre Grimsby. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in supporting with the expansion of the current provision. The successful candidate will play a lead role in the development, delivery and quality enhancement of the programme and will support with the design, conduct and dissemination of high-quality teaching and learning in this area and be expected to teach across Level 4, 5 and 6.

Requirements Of The Successful Candidate

Hold a relevant Degree and Masters qualification.

Hold a teaching qualification or be working towards.

Have a good understanding of safeguarding, supporting families and children, of professional and competent practice and of theory and be able to apply this knowledge to current working practice.

Experience working in the field of ’childhood and youth’.

High levels of skill in leading teaching and learning and be able to motivate, enthuse and challenge students to produce the highest quality work.

Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, together with a commitment to working with students from a range of different backgrounds, are also essential.
