RGM & MARKETING CAPABILITY PROGRAMME MANAGER

GSK Consumer Healthcare have a new role in their Global RGM & Marketing Capability Team, for a RGM & Marketing Capability Programme Manager. We are recruiting on a full-time permanent basis and will also consider applicants seeing a job-share. The role is based in GSK House, Brentford and in a new location in Weybridge, Surrey from mid-2022.

GSK Consumer Healthcare is currently part of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and in 2022 will become a stand-alone business. This new company will combine science and consumer insights to create innovative everyday healthcare brands that consumers trust and experts recommend for oral health, pain relief, cold, flu and allergy, digestive health and vitamins, minerals and supplements. GSK Consumer Healthcare is one of the world’s leading over-the-counter healthcare companies with number one positions in several markets, including the US, India and Germany. The business generated sales of £10 billion in 2020.

The Repeatable Growth Model (the RGM) is a method for identifying the biggest growth opportunities for our Business Units (USA, China, etc.) and creating roadmaps to unlock that growth potential. It is underpinned by a common language and a robust thinking framework supported by a set of analytical tools.

The Programme Manager, RGM & Marketing Capability is part of a team that is responsible for step-changing the RGM and marketing related capabilities across the commercial organisation. The successful candidate will support consistent RGM and marketing capability building, with a focus on Learning & Development for the commercial teams in our Business Units and our Global Category Teams, working with internal and external subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key Learning & Development activities and progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
  • Supporting the development and delivery of RGM and marketing related Learning & Development Resources
  • Working with subject matter experts to confirm their learning objectives, design learning journeys, create resources, drive awareness and participation for Learning & Development resources and evaluate their impact
  • Supporting the identification of capability and skill building learning needs across our Business Units and global category teams
  • Through our annual organisation-wide capability assessment and individual skills assessments
  • Maintaining access for our learners to Learning & Development resources ‘in the flow of work’
  • Ensuring the correct set-up of our Learning Management System, including adding and updating resources, ensuring users have access, showing learners how to use the system and reporting on system usage
  • Supporting live events run by subject matter experts, pre, during and post event
  • Maintaining our global network of local capability builders
  • Supporting regular meetings and forums
  • Updating the network through regular and frequent updates using email, MS Teams, Facebook Workplace and our Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Support team budget management
  • Liaise with budget holders, finance, and procurement to raise purchase orders, track expenditure, reconcile budgets and report on status

  • A background in and passion for Learning & Development / Capability Building
  • Strong levels of computer literacy (Office 365 and Learning Management Systems)
  • Strong levels of data literacy
  • Able to work independently without close supervision
  • Able to manage many priorities at once, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience of working in the world of marketing e.g. from a client-side marketing role or an agency marketing role
  • Experience of working in a large matrixed international organisation with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent communication skills
