Are you looking for an opportunity to work with more interesting and complex products? As part of a company of around 50 people, you’ll be part of a close-knit production team. They are responsible for building and final test of countertop scientific products. The team really enjoy the environment. Many have been there for years! But with a retirement on the horizon, they are looking to bring someone in and train them up before that happens.

The Production team works closely with all departments to make sure shipping deadlines are met. You will be responsible for mechanical and electronic assembly work, using tools such as soldering irons and wire strippers. The products are varied and there is a huge product range, keeping the days varied and interesting. They will fly by!

The Role:

  • Responsible for full product build including final inspection and testing upon completion.
  • Repairing products
  • Testing and calibration of the finished product.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Using hand and power tools.

The Candidate: Production Test Technician

You will have most of the following skills and experience:

  • Electro-mechanical assembly background;
  • High attention to detail and able to follow circuit diagrams;
  • Previously used equipment such as multi-metres, micrometers and verniers gauges.
  • Dexterous: comfortable with intricate hand work.
  • Great communication skills.

Salary: £25,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
