About the role:

Reporting to the Shift Manager, as Production Team Leader, you’ll work rotating shifts of 6-2 & 2-10 within the Manufacturing and Dispensing Unit, managing a team of c.15 Operators. Hours of work are Double Days shifts: 6am – 2pm alternating with 2pm – 10pm.

Duties may include:

• Achieving the operation directives on a daily, monthly and annual basis, providing technical expertise and advising on compounding matters as appropriate
• Setting operational objectives to ensure activity is delivered on time and to the agreed accredited standard, implementing corrective actions when deficiencies arise
• Liaising with Quality Managers in the implementation of new and existing legislation, guidance and recommendations to enhance the Units performance
• Motivating and managing a team to achieve operational excellence, assuming responsibility for the recruitment, development and retention of staff
• Monitoring the performance of equipment and liaising with the relevant teams to establish and maintain full records of maintenance and validation
• Completing internal and external audits to maintain full accreditation and completing satisfactory operational reviews
• Assisting in the maintenance of the Quality Assurance Accreditation Programme compliant with the Manufacturing Specials Licence and ISO Standards
• Attending management meetings as required

Skills and experience:

• Proven experience within a team leader / supervisory role in a manufacturing /
• production environment, ideally within Aseptic or Pharmaceutical manufacturing / compounding
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Superb leadership skills, with the ability to effectively motivate colleagues
• Strong organisational and creative problem solving skills
• IT literate, with excellent analytical skills
• Ability to work confidently on own initiative, as well as part of a team
• A resilient nature, with the ability to work effectively within a pressurised environment
• An energetic, flexible and adaptable approach to work
