A Production Supervisor is at the heart of our operations, ensuring not only the efficient running of the manufacturing process, but also the balance of our shift-related workforce. You will have responsibility for achieving our high-volume production targets; developing and implementing continuous improvement programmes as well as optimising the standardisation of operation practices using TQM processes. Managing a shift-based team of up to 20 employees, you will have responsibility for leading and motivating them to achieve production, efficiency and health and safety targets.

Outline And Responsibilities
  • Manage and co-ordinate Production personnel on a day to day basis.
  • Daily operation management where it will be a requirement to achieve all quality, safety, delivery, cost and productivity targets.
  • Development and co-ordination of improvement activities, and management of cross functional teams and activities to meet the shops quality targets.
  • Management, motivation and development of staff
  • Budget management

Background/Experience And Qualifications Required
  • Qualified to Degree or HND level
  • Extensive experience as a production manager/supervisor/team leader
  • Experience gained within a high-volume demanding manufacturing environment
  • Operating within exacting time, quality and cost constraints
  • Experience in one of the following areas is preferable - Automotive/Pharmaceuticals/FMCG
  • Lean Manufacturing principles/Kaizen practices/Just in time exposure
  • Contribution to continuous improvement programmes for the enhancement of production efficiency and quality standards
