Colorlites is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a well-established business in Chatham.

It is a great opportunity to join one of the main companies supplying glass packaging to Aromatherapy, Cosmetic, Food, Home Fragrance and Beverage markets, catering to everyone from the small hobbyist to large multi-national companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Production Manager in managing, staffing, output, holiday, & overall production
  • Work closely with planning to ensure the daily/weekly plan is realistic and achievable
  • Ensure customer orders are manufactured within the customer timelines
  • All scheduled maintenance, ensuring any unplanned maintenance is completed within a satisfactory time scale to keep operational downtime to a minimum and adequately recorded.
  • Responsible for the organisation and cleanliness of the factory & surrounding area’s
  • Be the go-to person for any queries within the Factory environment.
  • Liaise with the Paint Mixing Assistant to ensure paints are mixed in line with required schedules
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled in, in-line with training received & company requirements
  • Responsible for the effective management of team workload and prioritisation of tasks.
  • Liaise with Engineering & Planning regarding down time for pre-planned maintenance
  • Monitor and ensure all SOP’s across all machinery are followed and adhered to
  • Responsible for the mentoring and wellbeing of all team members.
  • Provide support to the manufacturing team when required.
  • Carry out return to works & sickness review meetings.
  • Responsible for the management and contribution of work orders across all spray lines
  • Ensure all components are ready a day in advance of line production

Requirements:

  • This is a hands-on role with most of the time being spent in the production areas and carrying out product inspection
  • Good knowledge quality analytical/problem solving tools & techniques gained through practical experience.
  • The ability to handle multiple demands, to be self-managing and to work under pressure
  • The ability to gain respect and credibility through demonstration of technical knowledge and transferable skills
  • You should be a confident people person able to influence & communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • You must demonstrate strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to listen, discuss and advise.
  • Flexible attitude and the ability to react and respond positively to changes in business needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
