ASK is a well-established manufacturing firm operating for over 40 years. We are a manufacturer of Quality British clothing, supplying the High street and various other sectors within the industry. We aim to cater to all requirements and hence have an extensive portfolio.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join our team.
What does the role involve?

  • To provide leadership, resourcefulness and motivation to plan and control all aspects of the production process
  • Ensuring that all production targets are met by the best utilisation of the resources available
  • Ensuring that all manufactured products are delivered in the timescales committed to and at the standard and quality expected by the company and customer at all times
  • Manage a team of sewing machinist and ensure the following tasks are carried out:
  • All sewing room staff are working at optimum levels
  • Plan and organise work activities and prioritise task completion to meet schedules and deadlines
  • Health and safety checks
  • Inductions and basic training for new team members
  • Assist with any training/development of your team in specific areas
  • Sewing machinery checks
  • Managing staff to ensure garments are produced cost effectively
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure minimal issues arise throughout production
  • Quality control

The Ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years as a Production Supervisor or related experience in a similar working environment
  • Have strong confidence and Leadership skills
  • Possess knowledge of textiles and their manufacture into quality garments
  • Be able to demonstrate practical skills of cutting and sewing
  • Have an understanding of woven and knitted fabrics
  • Have knowledge and be able to advise on most efficient methods of garment construction
  • Have understanding of a wide range industrial sewing machinery
  • Be able to use basic office software to manage production orders

Working hours are 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Mon - Friday and you may be required to work on weekends depending on deadlines.

Salary: £19,641.00-£22,000.00 per year
