Responsibilities of the Production Shift Manager:

  • Maintain staff levels and create a flexible and skilled work force
  • Suggest and promote continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure all equipment is monitored for efficiency and potential maintenance requirements
  • Ensure equipment is set up for the following shift start up to enhance smooth running and team work
  • Manage and control hours within the department to ensure maximum efficiency of output and appropriate cost controls
  • Undertake risk assessments
  • To deliver KPIs ensuring that the department achieves plan and that all schedules are met on the shift
  • To investigate and report any downtime caused by either staff or mechanical issues, ensuring maximum efficiency

Specific Responsibilities: To manage 20 staff (including supervisors), oversee the complete shift production and liaise with senior management on any issues that may affect plan and KPI achievement.

Successful candidate will have:

Previous experience in Food manufacturing environment (Essential)

At least 4 years people management / supervisory experience and leading teams (Essential)

BRC/BRCGS understanding (preferable)

Shift:

Mornings: 6am - 16:00pm Mon - Friday (Saturdays optional)

Salary: £28,000.00 per year
