Production Secretary

Production Secretary (12 Month FTC): NewsUK are looking for a Production Secretary to work closely with the production team to ensure smooth running of all News UK output. They will also provide admin and organisational support to production and editorial teams.

Day to day:

• Good communication working alongside production team and producers to assist with all programming and outputted content on the channel

• Processing invoices and expenses with Accounts teams

• Coordinating travel, hotels/accommodation for staff, crew and talent where necessary

• Completing and distributing daily call sheets and schedules for crew members and staff

• Working closely with the Studio Manager to maintain the smooth running of both studio locations specifically managing bookings, rotas & communication with crew

• Organising kit hire, or sourcing set pieces for specific shows

• Completing licensing declarations for any footage or stills used for productions

• Setting up new staff or crew with necessary access passes, log ins &/or programs

• On occasion, meeting and escorting new staff or talent to studio/meeting rooms

• Confidence to discuss and explore any new structures to help organise workflow

• Excellent organisational and time management skills and good communication skills

• Someone who thinks proactively and reactively to situations, can work across multiple tasks at once, and can work effectively under pressure and as a team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and timely

• Updating crew’s rota and contacting them regarding their availability.

• Awareness and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

This role would suit someone who thrives in a busy environment and who has a proactive approach to their work. Also advantageous is:

• Understanding of working within a Production team, particularly in a live production environment

• Highly organised

• Willingness to go over and above at times when required.

• Excellent communicator particularly with colleagues who are working to tight deadlines

Drawing together world-class talent across News UK, talkTV will be broadcast from state-of-the-art studios at The News Building in London Bridge and available live or on-demand, on linear and connected TV and on any personal device.
