Global manufacturing business require a Production Planning & Procurement Manager. Applicants need experience of production and capacity planning, deep knowledge of MRP/ERP and comfortable with operational procurement and supplier management activities.

The Production Planning & Procurement Manager will be responsible for driving sales order plans through the facility via MRP/ERP to achieve build plan and fulfil master production schedules. The Production Planning & Procurement Manager will also be responsible for a team of Buyer/Expeditors.

Specific duties of the Production Planning & Procurement Manager include:

  • Generate capacity and production plans
  • Contribute to site S&OP activities
  • Inventory Management
  • Supplier management - drive suppliers against OTD/OTIF targets to ensure material availability
  • Develop, manage and set KPIs for team

Production Planning & Procurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Manufacturing Planning, Production Planning or Master Scheduling experience within manufacturing or engineering
  • An appreciation of S&OP, SIOP and how production plan helps achieves sales targets
  • Purchasing/Procurement experience or the ability to manage and drive performance of supply chain partners
  • Deep understanding of inventory management techniques in MRP/ERP
  • Positive, pro-active and demonstrates leadership qualities
