We are a standalone product area positioned within of three Business Areas within the Trelleborg Group, who have a total of around 21,200 employees around the world.We are seeking a Production Planning & Control Manager to join our Management Team at our Retford, UK site. You will supervise the production scheduling through the ERP system according to both customer demand and quality requirements. This role will be key in ensuring our goods are produced on time for distribution in a cost-effective way that also meets the quality specifications set by our customers.This is a fast paced and autonomous role, which will suite an organized and highly driven individual.You will be the driver to influence and motivate change in the business and partner with the operational and functional teams, whilst reporting into the Managing Director. As a result, you will have great benefits and reward package as well as opportunities to grow your career!Your Responsibilities Will Include- Lead a small team of Product Group Managers to ensure the production plan is communicated effectively to all. Supervising the planning and priorities of production to ensure maximum performance and minimum delays.
- Utilise the ERP system to produce a full company production schedule, detailing all tasks and their required timescales in order to meet customer demand
- Manage inventory levels, both raw materials and finished goods, via the ERP system to ensure inventory is run at efficient levels, increasing stock turns and ensuring all products have full ERP traceability
- See opportunities for improving production through the strategic implementation of CAPEX improvement projects. Including driving a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the production department
- Liaise with the sales department to identify customer requirements, ensuring realistic delivery schedules are communicated to customers and sales staff are advised promptly of changes to production schedule in order to meet customer expectations
- Support the Quality Manager to address issues regarding quality when they arise striving for minimum disruption
- Collect and assess data about the production team’s performance via the ERP system in order to produce and review significant KPIs focusing on On Time Delivery, and raise any concerns in a timely manner
- Follow Health & Safety standards and workplace legislation
