We are currently recruiting for a Production Planner to join a highly reputable manufacturer on the outskirts of Cardiff. This is a great opportunity to join a well established, senior planning team in a forward thinking, innovative planning department.

As Production Planner you will be in charge of ensuring that all materials and goods required for production go into the correct locations on time with the goal of achieving operational excellence.

As Production Planner you will:

  • Work closely with Managers, production members and engineers to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.
  • Plan and prioritise operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all department heads in Europe, Japan and Taiwan, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyse

B key metrics for the performance of the operations to ensure efficient and to build a world-class operational set of Panasonic compliant processes.

  • Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a production planner.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality control principles.
  • Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning).
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
