Do you want to develop a career in manufacturing and build on the experience you’ve gained so far? Are you keen to continue learning new skills? We have an opportunity for people with some production experience to continue training into a more technical role as a Tooling Technician. We are looking for keen and enthusiastic people who want to be fully trained in a manufacturing job. Alternatively if you have relevant manufacturing or tool setting experience and need a new challenge this would be ideal. You’ll be working for a successful manufacturing company who have well developed processes in place. You’ll be trained as a Tooling Technician / Tool Fitter where you’ll be responsible for the correct setup of all manufacturing tooling along with carrying out tool changes. There is a physical nature to the role as the tooling is very heavy and requires lifting equipment to manouevre into the press machines. You’ll need an eye for detail as you’ll be following technical instructions and SOP’s (standard operating procedures) in order to carry out the work effectively and safely. It’s a bonus if you have manufacturing and/or tooling experience but not essential if you can demonstrate a good attitude and work ethic. You will be working on a 2 shift pattern, days and backs (6-2 and 2-10) offering a pay rate of £11.11ph rising to £13.97ph after training. To apply please forward your CV and we’ll arrange a chat to discuss the role in more detail
