Production Operative – S20

A company based on Holbrook Industrial estate are looking for a Production Operative to join their growing team. The company manufacture and offer a wide range of hand crafted scissors and shears supplied to the motor industry, aerospace and body armour manufacturers.

Hours of work: standard of 39 hours per week

  • Monday to Thursday 07.00hrs-16.00hrs
  • Friday 07.00hrs-12.00hrs

Rate of pay:

  • £11.00 per hour
  • £16.50 per hour- any hours worked over the standard 39

Duties:

  • Looking for highly motivated people looking to join a respected team of craftsmen involving scissor assembly, grinding, finishing and other metalwork.
  • The key part of being successful in this job is having a willingness to learn and show initiative. The role has the potential to be varied and options to develop into a key member of the team.
  • The company places an emphasis on the person above experience as they would like to continue the growth of the business and need like-minded employees to support this.
  • The role would suit somebody who has a ‘hands on’ approach and loves to spot and fix problems.

Requirements:

Experience in any of the following would be an advantage but not essential:

  • Be apprentice trained in a mechanical/manufacturing discipline
  • Have experience in manual grinding, including setting and machine maintenance

Full training would be given by site.
