Summary

The purpose of the role is to specifically support the operational areas of the business in the timely and fully accurate completion of works (customer) orders using the various production methods used across the business.
Activities completed by the role holder involve working in a production, assembly and warehousing environment assisting toward the completion of finished goods which are a variety of retail pharmaceutical products.

o Either independently or as part of a team, collaborate and work together to complete all required production works orders; work that includes activities such as manually hand packing / assembly or operating light industrial machinery (automation) and also (depending on site) the manufacturing of both sterile or non-sterile products
o To achieve the completion of production works orders (customer orders) to 100% accuracy “right first time, every time” and always in the time they are required
o To strive to achieve completion with zero percent wastage or in any case otherwise with minimal wastage or damage incurred
o Ensure that all requisite paperwork and documentation is completed to business requirements
o Dependant on the role holders operational deployment, they will be responsible for assisting in the completion of finished goods (customers’ orders) which might include: labelling processes, ‘building’ or packing processes, wrapping processes or the palletisation of different products
o From time to time you may be required to perform additional / different responsibilities in line with operational and business requirements including warehousing and logistics activities as needed

Skills, Experience and Knowledge required:

Essential
o Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
o Flexibility and adaptability
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
o Experience of working in a team and within a manual and hands-on production & assembly environment as well as some exposure to warehousing environments
o Good numeracy and literacy skills

Desirable
o Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
o Experience of working in a pharmaceutical and or other regulated (ISO, GMP, GDP, BRC) production environment
o Experience of operating in a Health and Safety based environment along with awareness of own individual requirements
o Experience of giving great customer experience
o Experience of mechanised production techniques including using auto / semi-automated wrapping and labelling equipment
