We’re looking for Production Operatives to work for our client at their North Lakes production facility in Penrith.

You would be joining the UK’s leading and best-known food on the go retailer.

Please note: This is a full-time role, 39 hours consisting of 5 shifts per week. Full details to be discussed at interview. Starting rate £9.31 per hour, rising to £9.78 per hour on completion of training (plus shift premiums where appropriate).

The Role

As an experienced Production Operative you would be tasked with ensuring that all production processes and activities are set and run in a manner which maximises efficiency, actively supporting quality and continuous improvement programmes, whilst ensuring all health and safety guidelines and regulations are consistently adhered to.

You’ll work as part of a close-knit team and play a major part in making and packing some of the nation’s much-loved products.

The Candidate
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing / production environment
  • Comfortable with handling, preparing and baking of food, long periods of standing, lifting and carrying, as well as other tasks such as cleaning
  • Competent working with hand tools and machinery, technically minded
  • Organised, able to follow and put in place routine tasks efficiently, strong attention to detail
  • Team Player, reliable and will take initiative if left on own
  • No evidence of respiratory problems (working in a bakery environment has exposure to flour and dust and would not suit individuals with respiratory problems)
  • Flexible in availability for working hours, may be required to work different shifts each week, or asked to work overtime

Basic salary: Starting rate £9.31 per hour, rising to £9.78 per hour on completion of training.
