STEM Recruitment Solutions have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced machine operative in the Dalkeith area.

Position: Machine Operator

Shift: Rotational days, backs, and nightshift

Duration: 8 hours per shift, Monday to Friday

Hourly Rate: £12.50

We are looking for an experienced machine operative for one of our well establish client. This is initially for 3 months with the potential of it being longer term for the right candidate.

The role involves:

  • Machine operating: Using converting machinery, including the waxer, slitter, and laminator.
  • Precision and Strength: Showcase your manual dexterity and strength as you expertly handle and maneuver reels. Utilize lifting and handling equipment to load parent reels onto the unwind unit and unload finished goods from the rewind section.
  • Quality assurance: Monitor work-in-progress reels throughout production, ensuring they meet our impeccable standards. Take prompt action to address flagged materials and seamlessly re-work as per customer requirements.
  • Safety checks: Be a champion of safety by conducting weekly machine safety checks and meticulously documenting their outcomes.
  • Maintain your area: Keep our machinery in top-notch condition through regular weekly cleaning and inspection checks.
  • Staying on top of admin: Accurately input production data into the workstation PC, ensuring our operations run like a well-oiled machine.
