Our Rochdale Client based on Kingsway Industrial Park is looking for Production Operatives to join their team.

Main Mission
As a Production Operative for the IBS Passport team you’ll operate each of the processes within the full work stream of activities within the personalisation of the passport. This will include the operating of a BookMaster One personalisation machine, Quality inspection, Bowe Insertion machine, Vault operations and goods receiving and shipping. You’ll complete daily/ weekly maintenance tasks and work with your peers on 5S and problem solving activities.

A week in the life of a IBS Team member:
  • You’ll complete daily maintenance and cleaning of the machines and surrounding areas.
  • You’ll work within the 5S rules and guidelines. You’ll operate the machines and/ or processes and rigorously follow the standard work for each of these tasks.
  • You’ll run process to production targets and quality standards.
  • You’ll complete hourly figures and highlight issues that have occurred to the management team.
  • You’ll participate with your peers and management on problem solving projects and improvements.
  • You’ll work to good health and safety standards and laws and not put yourself or others at risk.
  • You’ll work within all of the applicable security rules and report any breach relating to IBS.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested.
Knowledge, Skill And Experience
  • To be successful in this job you must be experienced in working in a high pressure environment.
  • You must have worked to daily SLA’s or targets.
  • You must have an understanding of what quality means.
  • You must have experience of working with machinery or production processes.
  • You must have basic computer skills.
  • You must be able to read English and have a good understanding of the English language.
  • You must have basic numerical skills.
  • We would like someone to join our team who is self-motivated, continues to learn new process and wants to improve the work process to benefit of all. This person would have a fast learning attitude, good communication skills and would be happy working with a team or individually.
Rotating shifts

6am - 2pm week 1

2pm - 10pm week 2

10pm - 6am week 3

The business are currently operating 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm shift but the nights aspect will be required in the future.
