An exciting opportunity has arisen within Wipak UK. We are looking for Production Support Operativesto work within the Production Department based at Welshpool. Working a four-shift rotating pattern consisting of a 36-hour work week, 12 hour days and nights, with some weekend work. Overtime is available after a training period and is paid at double time.

Salary: £23,063pa /£12.32 per hour

Position Overview:

This role is part of the production team, and the operator will be responsible for ensuring materials are produced at the right time to the right specification and within budgeted targets.

Ideal candidates for this position will possess experience of basic machine operation, although training will be given, be familiar with, and fit with the current culture of being flexible and multi-functional.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Ensure daily production targets are met through correct monitoring and recording.

· Ensure all materials meet current quality standards/customer requirements.

· Ensure production facility is set up to correct parameters.

· Ensure materials/tools are available for efficient production requirements.

· Reading production plan and cutting cores in accordance with work scheduled.

· Wrapping and strapping of pallets.

· Responsible for basic TPM activities.

Characteristics and Requirements

· Experience within a production environment is preferred, preferably with experience of automated processes.

· Experience of working as part of a team and a flexible approach to work is essential, including the ability to work the required shift pattern in line with the business needs.

· Applicants should be conscientious and have experience of checking products to ensure they meet quality standards.

· Sound verbal and numerical skills are required for this position.

· Applicants must have a good attendance and time keeping record.

· Good communication skills are essential.

· Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes would be an advantage.

· FLT Licence desirable although not essential

· Basic PC skills are required

· Full SAP training will be provided.

In addition to the main role, any employee is expected to be flexible with regards to other tasks that may be delegated from time to time. It is expected that any employee will conform to any reasonable management requests.
