Role: Production Manager

Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum, plus benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, days only

Location: Commutable from Camberley, Aldershot, Basingstoke, Reading, Bracknell, Guildford, Alton and surrounding areas

A rare opportunity has come available within a small/medium sized manufacturing company who are on the look’out for a motivated and career minded individual who wants to join their Management team! Responsibilities

This role is to as a Production Manager is to oversee and lead teams up to 35 staff across Workshop, Despatch, Stores and Quality departments, including team performance, change management, lean manufacturing, continuous improvements, KPI’s management, strategic planning and budget control.

This role would suit someone who is highly motivated and excited by challenges and sees them as opportunities to make an impact, to bring forward their experience and skills to make change and improvements. The role requires a “hands on” approach with strong leadership and change management capabilities.
  • Deliver production targets across the departments; volume etc.
  • Lead and organise Supervisors to ensure optimal performance in departments.
  • Identify areas of improvements and map out short, medium and long term solutions.
  • Support lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure the safety of all site personnel at all times.
  • Have an excellent knowledge of the process to help make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication with other departments and stakeholders at all times.
  • Ensure that HR policies and procedures are followed and adhered to at all times.
  • Reporting to the Managing Director and attend management meetings and prepare reports.
Requirements
  • You will be a Production Management / Operational Management professional, looking to take on a role with opportunities and something to get your teeth into
  • Background in Machining or Sheet Metal Production environment
  • Experience of computer based production management tools with familiarity of Bills of material, production planning, scheduling, works orders, capacity planning.
  • Familiar with an ISO9001 production environment.
  • Qualifications in a relevant field - business, engineering, production, management, technical field - most/any considered, or equivalent experience
  • Must have impeccable leadership qualities and can handle challenging personalities
  • Strong communicator, ability to talk to people of all levels
