One of our most prestigious clients in Nottingham is looking for a Production Manager. They are looking for an experienced Production Manager who will oversee the production process, coordinate all production activities and operations effectively and efficiently. The role will involve planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes and resources.
Our client is an established and growing business in their sector providing amazing benefits to its employees. They are offering a salary between £38,000-£40,000 per annum (dependent on experience), amazing pension scheme, private healthcare, life insurance and up to 28 days holidays including bank holidays.
As The Production Manager, Your Duties Will Include
Assisting current management team to plan and achieve optimal efficiency across the business
Overseeing production and logistics
Ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met at all times
Analysing company performance, continuously monitoring and coaching staff
Planning, scheduling and reviewing workload liaising with supply chain and logistics to ensure production output and on time delivery targets are achieved cost effectively.
Increasing production levels and maximise efficiency’s
Defining, developing, and implementing effective practical processes and procedure.
Ensuring that jobs are manufactured correctly cost effectively and delivered on time in accordance to customer build specification and quality requirements.
Leading and continuously improving all working areas ensuring compliance with Quality standards.
Putting into place action plans to correct any areas where targets are not being met.
Organising workload to meet business targets, setting and changing priorities as needed, and to arrange the necessary materials and resources, taking responsibility for the tools and equipment in terms of capacity and maintainability.
Promoting a "Visual Management" method of communication with the Team and others
Skills
Communicating by "exception" risk and/or concerns in time to allow recovery action planningThe successful Production Manager will have the following skills and experience
HND/degree qualified with a minimum of 15 years post-graduation experience in a Production Management and/or Technical Management role having experience gained within a low to medium volume, high quality, high precision Electrical/Electronic design and manufacturing organisation
Good working understanding of Surface Mount Technology programming and equipment operation
Good working knowledge of selective, Wave and hand soldering technologies and techniques
Understanding of Electrical/Electronic testing of PCB boards and peripherals
Experience
of building teams and processes from the ground up
Have an appreciation of the requirements of delivering components and assemblies into an OEM supply chain
Have an appreciation of the injection moulding processThe Production Manager’s benefits will include:
