We’re looking for a Production Manager to lead a team of highly motivated Operators, responsible for producing a range of complex products in small and large batches, while maintaining the highest quality standards. You’ll be delivering on agreed targets and creating strategies to deliver on the longer term plans.

This is what you’ll be doing

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the production process and people
  • Control of work flow and resource allocation
  • Collating and reporting KPI relevant to the manufacturing operation
  • Analysing data and improving processes
  • Producing products to the highest quality standards
  • Liaising with supporting departments
  • Reviewing team and individual performance and identifying training needs
  • Coaching and mentoring of team
  • Performance management and improvement
  • Coordinating manning and flexibility to support changes in production quantity
  • Maintaining engagement and motivation levels within the team
  • Leading training programs
  • Ensuring Health and Safety guidelines are followed

  • A strong team player, with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent leadership, coaching skills, decision making & problem-solving techniques
  • The ability to be creative and instigate change
  • Self-motivated and goal focused with excellent organisation skills.
  • Strategic mindset to lead into the short, mid & long term.
  • Previous Leadership experience
  • Ability to work within a demanding production/target driven environment.
  • Computer literate, ability to analyse data, familiar with Microsoft Office or similar
  • A knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodology is advantageous
