A Production role has become available for a full-time line supervisor to join the existing Production team here at Torbay Pharmaceuticals (TP)

If successful you’ll be part of a 30 strong production team supervising specialist sub teams manufacturing life saving pharmaceutical products.

You’ll become part of team who really make a difference world wide.

You will be required to work 8 hour shifts - Early/Late weekly rotation - Monday to Friday

Please note: As part of the production team you will be working within a controlled/graded cleanroom environment whilst wearing specialist cleanroom gowning to minimise contamination

The Role Is Required To Ensure

Successful delivery of the production schedule and departmental metrics.

The development of people through training and mentoring to build a high performing team and working closely with other departments.

Manufactured products meet the requirements in law and comply with current Good Manufacturing Practice (c-GMP) under European Council Directive 2003/94.

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • BSc degree in a Science discipline or equivalent experience within this specialised field.
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of Training in GMP
Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device production or packaging facility.
  • Supervisor or management experience
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of terminal sterilisation.
  • Project Management
  • Experience of being audited by regulatory bodies and external customers.
Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • A deep understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH Assessments.
  • A strong understanding and knowledge of pharmaceutical cGMP guidelines.
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of Human Resources policies and guidelines.
Skills

Essential criteria
  • Ability to interrogate data to make effective evaluations and decisions.
  • Well-developed IT skills
