Our client is a successful manufacturer based in the Mirfield area. They are looking for an experienced Production Operative / Manufacturing Operative to join their team.

You must have experience of working in a production or manufacturing environment, from a medicines, chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturer.

SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off, Days and Nights on rotation (12 hour shifts, Continental shift pattern, works out at an average of 42 hours per week).

Salary is £25,000 basic + £8,750 Shift Allowance (£33,750 total!) + Overtime sometimes available.

Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Producing products according to instructions
• Carrying out sampling activities
• Working efficiently to meet daily production requirements
• Responsible for shift handover according to site standards
• Use trouble shooting skills to resolve process related deviations and problems
• Participate in Root Cause Investigations
• Perform immediate response activities assigned by Immediate Response Leader
• Use process knowledge and skills to suggest improvements in plant performance
• Maintain site housekeeping standards
• Carry out required safety checks

Key skills and Qualifications required:

• Minimum O-Levels/GCSE’s including Maths, English or equivalent vocational qualification
• Chemical/Pharmaceuticls experience desirable, or a graduate in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering would be acceptable.
• Experience of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations or similar is essential.
• Basic IT skills
• Working within a team
• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
• Able to work 12 hour days nights and weekend shifts on a rota.
• Flexible team work with troubleshooting capability.
• Record keeping skills
• Attention to detail
