  • £60,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Production Factory Manager to join a market leading fresh food manufacturer.
They are seeking an experienced Factory Manager to support the current production team to play a pivotal role in managing day to day operations, which include Production, Engineering & Warehousing within a demanding and fast-paced chilled food environment.

The candidate;
  • Production factory management experience within a fresh food environment
  • Proven experience of leading large teams across production, engineering and warehousing teams in a 24/7 operation
  • Just in time and LEAN manufacturing experience
  • Approachable, willing to listen and actively encourage subordinates to contribute to the success of the team
  • Lead by example and demonstrates a strong work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proven experience in driving through continuous improvement activities
  • Experience to working to British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards with regard to Hygiene & Cleanliness standards
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Manufacturing for UK retailer experience Duties and Responsibilities;
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of Operations, which include Production, Engineering and Warehousing within a demanding and fast-moving chilled food environment.
  • Deliver an efficient, right first time Operation to ensure that customers’ orders are produced on time, safely, to the correct standard of quality
  • Lead the Operation team to deliver optimum use of resources, that ensure the site delivers safe food in a safe environment, whilst maintaining high quality and productivity, low cost in an environment of high morale and engagement
  • Recruit, coach, mentor and develop high performing multi-skilled production teams
  • Develop, track and monitor Key Performance Indicators and develop and drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Develop, agree, implement and execute an Operational Strategy in collaboration with other functional areas and aligned with company Vision and Mission
  • Developing, monitoring and reporting Operational Key Performance Indicators, tailored to suit differing audiences in both visual and written report format.
