Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work for an Industrial Machinery Manufacturing company that provides a turnkey service for global contract manufacturing, combining high-quality machining with design capability, hydraulic services, fabrication, assembly, testing, and project management?Title -Production/Manufacturing EngineerLocation - MorecambeSalary - 40,000 +Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work for an Industrial Machinery Manufacturing company that provides a turnkey service for global contract manufacturing, combining high-quality machining with design capability, hydraulic services, fabrication, assembly, testing, and project management?Key principles and dutiesTo provide engineering support to production to deliver a quality product in a timely fashion, providing bespoke machinery components to the end customer.Below is not an exhaustive list but a broad representation of what the role may entail in a typical working day/week. Duties may be distributed among Production Engineers according to individual skill levels and time constraints however there must be sufficient cross-training among staff to cover the fundamental tasks necessary for typical business operations.Standard Tasks
  • Collation of Material & Plating prices for RFQs
  • Prepare and Submit accurate Quotations to customers promptly
  • Run contract review process for new orders
  • Purchasing of Material to fulfill orders
  • Creating Sales orders/Work orders from Customer PO
  • Creation of routes/BOMs
  • Supporting production when problems arise
  • Updating methods/times to accurately reflect the performance
  • Accountability of job-specific Key Performance Indicators
  • Creation of CAM NC programs to support both milling & turning
Skills/Knowledge
  • Understand requirements of plant-held accreditation and customer quality plans, building these into the manufacturing routes and BOMs.
