Job content
As our PDI supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to lead and supervise the customization center and pre delivery inspection processes, ensuring that production goals and quality standards are being met.
You will be responsible to plan and prioritize engineers, creating work schedules and job cards to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay, liaising alongside sales admin and external dealers.
You will also manage the continuous improvement of quality processes to improve the efficiency of the plant whilst optimizing teams’ performance.
Main responsibilities :
Planning
- overseeing the planning and its implementation.
- Adjust planning based on customer, sales feedback, and product arrival
- In charge of PDI trucks management
- Responsible for booking inbound and outbound logistics
Finance
- Responsible for budgeting and monitoring of expenses in the department
Parts Stock Management
- Manage internal/external orders
- Manage all inspections claims and report to warranty admin.
- Order required parts needed for the work and administration
Operations & Training
- Ensure safe working conditions & required materials
- Supervise employees to help ensure efficiency and productivity
- Provide clear solutions to problems
- Report weekly to the PDI manager
You will be based at our factory in Northampton with possible travel (<10%)
You will report to the PDI Manager based in HQ located in Belgium.
Your Profile :
- Education & Qualification: Mechanical Engineering – Bachelor Degree
- 7+ years of experience in heavy equipment / automotive service / inspection role
- 3~5 years of experience in managing and leading a team
- Technical problem-solving experience
- Travel Required: <10%
- Experience preferred in Material Handling Equipment or automotive workshop
- Ability to Prioritize workload and schedule tasks
- High level of communication skills on all levels.
- Strong computer and IT skills (MS Office, SAP)
- Experience with ERP/SAP system is a plus
- Open and challenging mindset.
