Your role will be working as a production chef across in this busy kitchen on varied food preparation and cooking tasks whilst ensuring food safety practices are adhered to at all times.

You will have an active and efficient approach within the kitchen with team work and positive communications being key.

Duties will include:

  • Receiving and organising food deliveries and storage
  • Checking stock and orders required
  • Food preparation and cooking (varied and will progress throughout the apprenticeship)
  • Cleaning duties (after food preparation and service)
  • Food service (as required)
  • Using varied resources and technology within the kitchen environment to expand knowledge and skills development
  • Food safety processes (recording e.g. temperature recording, cleaning schedules)

Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • Functional Skills if required
  • Food Safety Level 2 Qualification

Practical training is mostly delivered in the work based environment which varies from both skills and knowledge.

You will be provided with your own virtual learning portfolio which will map out the agreed Milestone training plan (training topics/modules being broken down into 3 month milestones).

You will cover all the key areas as required to be a successful production chef from kitchen operations to nutrition, legislation, teamwork, personal development and food production in line with brand standards.
