About the role

Providing support and assistance to Production, Purchasing and Logistics to meet the demands of the business and to increase profitability.

What will I be doing?

  • Raising and amending purchase orders.
  • Chasing purchase order acknowledgements/due dates and reporting any that do not meet the requirements of the business.
  • Chasing late deliveries and reporting any that do not meet the requirements of the business.
  • Raising and processing works orders.
  • Preparing job packs including printing serial and packing labels.
  • Printing product and hazard labels.
  • Stock adjustments.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers and colleagues at all levels.
  • Administration for the supplier rejects, goods in inspection and other relevant processes.
  • Working with Operations Manager to ensure successful and efficient stock take (quarterly and year end).
  • Ensuring information in ERP system is kept up to date.
  • Running and reviewing reports as required.
  • Editing, printing and binding manuals.
  • Liaison with couriers/freight forwarders, booking export/import shipments and preparing shipping documents.
  • Requesting export documentation from Chamber of Commerce.
  • Working with Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers to ensure DGN logistics documentation is produced correctly.
  • Monitoring stationery levels and ordering items when required.
  • Booking plant maintenance and repairs with contractors and keeping maintenance schedule up to date.
  • Ensure Company’s Health & Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality Strategies, Policies and Objectives are adhered to and report any deficiencies to your Line Manager

What are the requirements?

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in an administration role.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, with minimal supervision.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise.
