Why We Need You

This role sits within the Engineered Systems and Solutions (ESS) team and provides Product Support for the full lifecycle of the product. The role would suit a good communicator who is organized, able to work independently and priorities work appropriately.

What You Will Do - The Role
  • Managing multiple Requests for Engineering Assistance, using SAP Engineering Change Management tools to co-ordinate changes with Operations departments
  • Correction of post-release defects or any other issues that are directly tied to product design functionality or quality.
  • Add new regional certifications and coordinate ongoing requalification and / or testing required to maintain third party product approvals.
  • Procurement support – qualification of new components due to obsolescence or vendor quality issues.
  • Manage new product derivatives or branding updates
  • Provide daily support to Operations as needed: Deviations for incoming and in-process quality issues.
  • Contribute to concept generation and other ESS activities as required,
  • Define performance goals, devise test strategies and execute / manage those strategies to ensure that products meet all necessary requirements, including for function, durability, manufacturability, lifespan and compliance.
  • Maintain all project documentation and files (including through engineering change control), in line with company procedures, to ensure accurate handover to operations and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Liaise with suppliers to produce components for testing and manufacture.
  • Provide comprehensive and regular feedback to the Technical Manager on all projects, issues and changes.
  • Support the handover of products to Opex.

What You Need

Experience (required):

  • 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred including PDM).
  • Industrial experience in a similar Engineering environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with working cross-functionally with Opex, Marketing.
  • Proven ability to multi-task.
  • Practical Engineering experience in workshop/testing environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

  • Experience (preferred)
    • Knowledge and understanding of matierals and manufacturing processes.
    • Project management.
    • Knowledge of SAP ECM.

    Education (required)
    • Engineering or other relevant Technical Degree.
