A leading player in Green Energy Technology is actively seeking a fully remote, Product Ownerwho is passionate about creating self-organised teams and looking to continuously improve themselves and the product, whilst driving customer value

The Product Owner will join a new and rapidly expanding on-shore team, tasked with build a data centric software offering on top of pioneering, green energy hardware technology.

This team is still in the early stages of creation and therefore has a real ‘Start-Up’ feel to it, and is allowing the team to adopt a DevOps culture from the start. The team currently has seasoned technical professionals and Agile evangelists so is ideal for someone looking to join and company that’s striving to do things ‘the right way’

Responsibilities

We need someone who understands the importance of placing the user at the centre of everything we do. The Product Owner is accountable from maximising the value of the software product resulting from the work of the delivery team. And most importantly you will ensure that your teams delivers excellent products that delights customers.

Your responsibilities include:

  • working with the product team to help them to ensure we are building the right things at the right time
  • prioritise the work the delivery teams to meet the strategic aims of the business

The Product Owner is also tasked with working with the wider organisation to create and maintain software product backlogs and also accountable for effective product backlog management which includes

  • developing and explicitly communicating the product goal.
  • Creating and clearly communicating product backlog items.
  • ordering product backlog items
  • ensuring that the product backlog is transparent visible and understood

As the Product Owner you will interact with the members of multiple teams and at all levels. You will need to be a good communicator equally comfortable speaking directly with engineering and outsourced technical partners as well as providing reports to the board.

Qualifications and Experience

the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of

  • 2yrs + working in an agile environment as a Product Owner
  • a formal agile qualification would be desirable but not essential
