Summary of the role
The UK & Ireland Product Marketing Manager role is reponsible for providing regional market expertise and local commercial and launch readiness activities. The role will support problem discovery and define user needs by conducting and collecting inputs from market research, user research, and customer support to deliver an efficient input to the product development process. The role will collect, prioritize, and communicate: competitive analysis, price sensitivity, gap prioritization, use cases, value proposition, and key market messages. The role will communicate sales and revenue goals for the commercial teams in the region and will monitor performance to goal and support the sales strategy and activities to achieve the goal.
What you’ll be doing
Understanding the UK & Ireland market dynamics: trends, regulations, addressable market
Providing expert knowledge of the competitive landscape and potential impact on product strategy
Recommending product messaging
Defining approaches to go-to-market
Defining products’ role in the full value proposition
Providing input in relation to the go-to-market plan
Developing and maintaining the regional business case for each product
Identifying and communicating impact of changes in product roadmap as relates to value proposition and messaging
Providing updates to regional stakeholders on:
- Product requirements defintions
- Feasability assessments
- Backlog refinement
Generating feedback on specific iterations as guidance to the product managers
Creating and maintaining market-facing messaging consistent with value proposition
Conducting feature localization based on market needs including mandates and content/language
Providing input to:
- Sales for pipeline development and sales enablement
- Marketing for creation of campaigns and collateral
- Customer Support and Customer Success for readiness of new product or feature launches
Ensuring all of this category is coherent in each market
About the ideal candidate
You’ll have a proven track record in a product management, product marketing, pre-sales or IT sales position within the travel industry, preferably within the travel agency environment
Clear understanding of P/L, product lifecycle management, and product strategy.
Positive and collaborative attitude
Good written and verbal English communication skills
