Product Manager Professional Power Tools (UK South)

Location: UK – South, Flexible: 4 days remote, 1 day onsite (Slough)

Purpose

Continue to drive growth in the largest Power Tool division within our Pro & Tradesman DFES (Drilling, Fastening, Auto, Expansions & Systems) Cordless Power Tools – within our Global Tools & Storage division. Responsibility of DEWALT, STANLEY FAT MAX.

Responsible for category & financial management within the PRO DFES Cordless Power Tools portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for development and execution of a comprehensive strategic plan for the profitable management of pricing, gross margins, collateral materials & point-of-purchase.
  • Manage and lead the milestone process for new product development, ensuring the process is followed correctly.
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle process, alongside the Global Product Manager from concept to delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives, as well as, act as the point of contact for manufacturing, purchasing, sales, quality and engineering.
  • Category Manage and communicate new product launches, SKU rationalisation, promotions to the regional Marketing / Sales teams effectively and pro-actively.
  • Understand the trends in the industry and related industries and develop a deep understanding of the pro end user in order to incorporate these insights into successful new product launches.
  • Provide product training to internal and external stake holders.
Requirements
  • Higher Degree or equivalent; preferred: Marketing, Product, Engineering, Business, Finance
  • +2 years’ in a Product Manager role; commercial experience is an advantage
  • Experience of Product development and/or Marketing
  • Proven experience successfully managing product categories and/or customers
  • Advantage: Experience around digital / connected products. (not mandatory)
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical ability, with attention to detail
  • Desired - Knowledge of Consumer Products & related (including industry & market trends); knowledge of the European market
  • Fluent English
  • Presentation skills - to be able to create and present to both small and large audiences. Comfortable with presenting in front of a live audience and over other media such as ZOOM
  • IT and PowerPoint literate
  • Experience with conducting in depth market research
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead and effectively work with others globally across the organization
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Travel (domestic/international) up to 10-15% might be required, once restrictions are lifted.
