We have an exciting opportunity to join our ambitious and dedicated Packaging team as a Product Manager!To succeed in this position you will need to be an experienced Product Manager with strong marketing management principles and the ability to build a product proposition including price and feature analysis utilising market and sales insight.You must have excellent knowledge of category and customer management principles and hold a robust understanding of UK trade channels, with proven experience in developing and executing recommendations for multiple customers or channels.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-depth market, industry, and competitor analysis/positioning.
  • Understand any key influencing factors and adapt our product offer to meet the need of the customers.
  • Maximise performance and profitability by owning the pricing strategy and list price to ensure cost pricing aligns with the product appropriately across market channels - helping to identify and deliver innovative product launches.
  • Maximise product profitability and availability through lifecycle management, from new product development through stock management, route to market, working capital, stock turn, and end of life.
  • Utilise knowledge of sales performance and market developments and input into the Purchasing team for forecasting and supplier selection.
  • Proactively input into the product marketing plan and secure marketing support, identifying measurable activity such as collateral, product promotions, and discount programmes to maximise product performance.
  • Accountable for monitoring, maintaining and the ongoing accuracy of all product content and data, utilising the Merchandising Assistant to update copy, content, images, and product descriptions.
  • Regular product checks to identify any issues in quality and implement resolutions quickly and ensure full compliance with all reporting requirements.

Additional InformationThis Product Manager position is based in our Coalville office but there will be a requirement for occasional national travel to engage and support regional sales teams.Essential Skills
  • Packaging industry knowledge would be an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver impactful presentations and write business plans
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Able to work using your initiative
  • Influencing and negotiating skills
