Product Manager - LexisNexis Risk Solutions - Nottingham / Hybrid
Overview of Role
Working within the Product Management team, you will be responsible for individual product lines, creating product plans and managing existing and new products through the development life cycle. Working alongside our Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Technology and Vertical teams, you will identify and evaluate product innovation and enhancement opportunities; research and document market requirements; drive product developments and agree and implement go to market plans.
As someone who has previously worked as a trusted product expert within the insurance, financial services or data technology industries, you will be results driven and able to analyse problems and provide innovative solutions using your extensive product management experience. You will be energetic and passionate about your products and able to work under pressure. Working with key internal and external stakeholders, your ability to develop trusted relationships is high on your agenda alongside an ability to bring evidence-based communication to all relevant partners and stakeholders when describing your vision and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ownership, development and management of the product roadmap(s), ensuring all product lines have an established plan for development and execution, with clear associated growth objectives
  • Support the internal teams in researching and documenting market requirements; collecting and managing complex requirements, with the ability to translate those into well understood product designs
  • Ownership of product business cases for review by the Executive Leadership Team, which could be strategic, tactical or regulatory driven
  • Evidence led communication of product vision and strategy to key stakeholders across the business
  • Identify and evaluate product innovation and enhancement opportunities, working alongside Analytics, Client Engagement, Vertical and Partnership teams
  • Ensure products remain compliant with statutory and other regulations
  • Work with departments across the business to develop a full range of product documentation and literature
  • Ownership of product go to market plans for product launches and/or product developments
  • Profit and loss responsibilities across product lines, working with Partnerships and Client Engagement to drive profitable products
  • Ensure appropriate product handover into required teams
  • Agree and manage product KPIs
  • Influence and drive continuous improvement in product development process
Key Skills and Experience
  • Product Management experience including full development lifecycle
  • Above standard technical and analytical capabilities, with a capacity and drive to challenge and be challenged on a numerical basis, to ensure decisions and assumptions are well founded
  • Adaptable and hands-on, alongside working strategically to develop the longer term visions
  • Highly organised with excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen across all aspects of product P&L management
Qualifications
  • Several years’ product management experience within a similar field or relevant experience with financial or insurance products.
  • Genuine interest in data analytics, technology and the insurance market
