Product Development Engineers

Tasks

  • Preparation of product, component, purchasing and manufacturing drawings
  • Application-specific development of new products, system solutions and functions, including the creation of specifications
  • Planning, initiating and evaluating tests and their further development for functional assessment, quality assurance and operational testing of the products
  • Definition and description of efficient design processes, as well as their automation / digitalization
  • Carrying out calculations, as well as collaboration in the development of calculation methods and software, including their interpretation and validation
  • Collaboration in local and international development and Design-for-Six-Sigma (DfSS) projects
  • Close cooperation with our Chinese sales, engineering and development colleagues

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical engineering, preferably with focus on design & development
  • First experience in the development of rolling bearings as well as rolling bearing knowledge on design, kinematics and failure analysis
  • Pronounced cost awareness and a feel for what is feasible in terms of production technology
  • Good knowledge of mechanics, strength of materials and materials science
  • Experience in project management is an advantage
  • CAD knowledge (ideally Creo), solid knowledge of digitalization and IT affinity
  • Fluently in English
  • US Green Card or dual citizenship
  • Pleasure in intercultural work and communicative competence
  • Structured, determined and success-oriented way of working
