Role Title: Product Development Analyst

Location: Brightside Park, Severn Bridge, Aust, Bristol, BS35 4BL


Role Purpose:

Reporting to the Product Development Manager this role will focus on multidimensional analysis and report on the performance of the key product lines using data insight to support the delivery of volume and profit targets of the business.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and review product performance identifying both positive and negative trends in performance
  • Maintain & develop Management Information (Quotes, Sales, Retention Performance) to support and drive the volume and profit targets of the various Group product lines.
  • Provide analysis to support pricing strategies across multiple products to deliver business objectives.
  • Provide data and analytical insight into the current trading patterns to determine business decisions and support insurers, aggregators and partners to help grow your product line.
  • Work closely with Insurer Relation team on business plans and assist in strategy delivery. This might involve attending meetings with insurer panel members and actively reviewing data in a live environment to assist in providing data insight and improving our broker scores and relations.
  • Contribute to the creation, development and ongoing analysis of business plans and budgets.
  • Highlight perceived business risks generated by activities of the group or pricing team and escalate to your line manager.
  • Work closely with all areas across the Brightside Group, i.e. IT, Finance, Underwriting, Marketing and support as appropriate.
  • Live, reflect and act as an ambassador for the v10 values and the Customer Charter in all work activities supporting business areas to understand how they apply them in their working practices.
Qualifications:

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Understanding of Insurance market and distribution channels
  • Negotiation skills and contracts are essential
  • Good delegation and reporting skillset
  • Able to manage expectations and delivery timescales (both upwards and downwards)

  • Excellent Numeracy skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent data manipulation and reporting skills
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Proficient Excel knowledge

Desirable Skills

  • General understanding of Insurance industry practices & principles (Ideal, not essential)
  • Relationships with key individuals within the division
