Overview of the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join the North West’s only Tier 1 Bank in a varied and interesting role that can offer the opportunity to work with stakeholders globally. Based in Chester’s established CFO function, the successful candidate will benefit from an excellent work life balance, a highly competitive benefits package and clear paths of career progression.

Responsibilities:
  • Daily product control functions, business reporting and ledger substantiation
  • Working with Front Office to explain their P&L and Valuations
  • Working across the team to agree correct accounting treatment for trades and portfolio
  • Balance sheet substantiation
  • Constant monitoring and improvements of risk control process
  • Implement improvements to the system infrastructure & control environment
  • Production and monitoring of Daily and Monthly KPI’s
  • Deliver support for new products and initiatives
  • Drive standardisation of process, application and data source
The Team:

The Chester team consists of ~20 members. The team has a global remit and responsibilities, dealing with the Finance team in New York and trading desks in London, New York and Singapore.

Core Skills:
  • Professional Qualification preferable (CFA / ACCA / ACA / CIMA)
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Ability to supervise, control deliverables and guide other more junior members of the team
  • Lead by example and set high controls standards for the team
  • Confident analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to respond appropriately to time-sensitive requests
