Product AnalystAt Seccl, we’re on a mission to rebuild the infrastructure of investments and advice. We provide the technology that allows people to access financial markets – buying and selling investments and holding them in tax wrappers like ISAs and pensions.

Our software allows ambitious fintechs to quickly get to market with innovative investment or advice products – and helps financial advisers and investment managers to build stronger, more valuable businesses, by operating their own investment platform. We are part of the Octopus Group – an innovative, £9bn+ group of companies that’s on a mission to breathe new life into energy and financial services, and improve the lives of millions of people

How can you help?

We’re looking for a Product Analyst who is eager to join a fast-growing fintech and passionate about solving problems through cutting- edge technology. You might be a graduate, someone early in their career, or someone looking to switch into a Product role. You will be responsible for supporting our cross-functional squads to launch innovative solutions at pace, and to measure the success of those solutions.

You’ll have the unique opportunity to drive insights that inform our understanding of customer pain points, the key product opportunities and, ultimately, what we should build for our clients. Our goal at Seccl is to help make the worlds of investing and financial advice more accessible and affordable – and you’ll be instrumental in helping us build solutions that do just that.

How you’ll be contributing

· Collaborate with our designers to help conduct user research

· Get to the root of customer problems and support product managers in shaping ideas to tackle them

· Help our squads deliver at pace and learn what it takes to increase the effectiveness of a squad

· Implement and track key metrics to measure the success of new products we release

· Help to design operational processes and onboarding frameworks that successfully get our products in the hands of end users

· Create and own OKRs for the product team to help them measure success

You’ll be someone who…

· Wants to forge a career in product management, but necessarily have any PM experience: this is a great entry to the sector, and you don’t need years of relevant work experience

· Is passionate about working within a high-performance product and engineering culture and buys into Seccl’s mission and values

· Is an able problem solver and thrives in situations full of ambiguity

· Loves to use data to answer questions

· Might have some useful technical skills – whether that’s being able to automate using Python or having a knack for UX

· Loves to work in a dynamic team where all ideas are welcome

· Is a strong communicator and can handle working both independently and with other team members

We think this is a great role if you want to…

· Learn what it takes to be an effective product manager

· Build real products from scratch

· Change the face of the financial services industry, helping it to become more accessible and innovative

· Learn real technical skills while directly applying them to real-world problems

· Develop your ability to influence and grow into an inspirational leader

How do we work?

We’re a team of ambitious, talented, and creative people who are passionate about using technology to improve our financial world.

We have a positive, open environment that promotes fresh ideas, challenge and experimentation, and encourages continual learning. We provide flexible working that focusses on delivery rather than just focusing on hours worked.

We’re based in the historic City of Bath, a stone’s throw from the train station. (Literally. You could hit it from our office.)

And the vital statistics?

  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Exposure to the latest technology and an opportunity to help shape the future direction
  • 27 days holiday and a day off for your birthday
  • Pension & Life Assurance
