Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Service Manager to join the Private Patients team.

The post-holder will be responsible for the operational day-to-day running of the services, as well as supporting delivery of key performance objectives and improvement projects for the service.

The main base of this post is at The Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre but may be required to travel to other NUH sites on an adhoc basis and could include occasional Saturday working.

This would suit any candidate looking to further progress their career towards a senior management role, or to gain further operational and strategic experience within the NHS. The successful candidate will be educated to university degree standard or will have equivalent experience.

Responsibilities will include delivery of national access targets, waiting lists, development and line management of staff and involvement in and leading of projects.

We are looking for an individual who is motivated, pro-active and will bring new ideas to improve the service provided to patients across Nottinghamshire and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will have experience in leading a team, the ability to work flexibly and manage conflicting demands and have excellent time-management skills. They will need to be able to work well as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team to achieve the specialties’ goals.


Working for our organisation

The Private Patients department includes a wide variety of specialties including, but not exclusively to, Dermatology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Orthopeadics. The post holder will have responsibility for managing the team, keeping SOP’s up to date, liaising with Consultant’s to ensure indemnity certificates are up to date and continuous development to the service.
