Print Marketing Planner

Mountain Warehouse is looking for a motivated, experienced, and resourceful Print Marketing Planner to join our team!

We are looking for someone with great knowledge and enthusiasm to coordinate delivery of all Point of Sale to support our promotional and marketing activity worldwide. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Retail you will be responsible for managing the print budget and critical path and will have the opportunity to drive new strategies and cost efficiencies as the business continues to grow.

What you’ll be doing

• Ensure print runs take place on time, to budget, managing process fully.
• Ensure delivery of point of sale to support all promotional activity in Mountain Warehouse stores.
• Deliver printed marketing materials to support new product range & brand launches, working with Graphic Design team to produce bespoke design solutions.
• Manage development & production of ad-hoc promotional materials in cost effective way.
• Understand the promotional strategy and identify commercial ways to engage our customers in most effective way.
• Bring creative ideas to the table, with awareness of competitor activity and market trends.
• Build & deliver artwork briefs to Graphic Design team, overseeing artwork development prior to presenting to senior management for sign off.
• Proof & copy-edit all artwork ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Manage the Print Team: outlining clear objectives and assessing outcomes, overseeing delivery of their remit, reviewing performance, and ensuring training & development objectives are met.
• Manage working relations with Graphic Design team and oversee the shared critical path for print marketing design.
• Manage working relations with Photography team, ensuring all photographic requirements are communicated in a timely manner, and image selections are consistent with brand requirements.

We would love to meet someone with

• Understanding of marketing concepts, strategies and aims.
• Experience working in the retail sector.
• Experience managing print production; building briefs, overseeing artwork development, and liaising with print production companies.
• Experience producing marketing collateral to a high standard that builds brand awareness and delivers on business objectives.
• Experience delivering to tight deadlines in busy environment working, juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience delivering projects within budget.
• Aptitude at increasing efficiency in processes.
• Be creative in suggesting new solutions and ideas.
• Strong interpersonal skills, working flexibly when required but with ability to manage stakeholder expectations and flag issues in timely manner.
• Excellent written English and visual communication skills.
• Meticulous and methodical approach with eye for detail.
• Highly motivated & driven to achieve.
